Team and People Development

This objective is about creating a positive culture in the behaviours of the Operational Team and Board. The objective is split into two broad areas.

 

Culture and ways of working

 

The team and board have worked closely together and despite all the challenges faced over the year, we have sustained high levels of staff satisfaction as evidenced by the annual staff survey.

 

We continued to develop our approach to being an agile organisation and operating in a hybrid way of working. In June we left our office base and became truly agile only now meeting once a week at the Aura Innovation Centre, Hessle for weekly team meetings. 

The year has seen several staff move to exciting new roles across the network and we thank Rich Hall, Sam Tasker, Robin Lavin, and Gary Sainty for their considerable contributions to the organisation. We welcomed Garth De Roux, People and Workforce manager, Jake Haylett, Digital Content officer and Elle Siddal, Project Support Officer.

 

We close the year going through a staff restructure to prepare ourselves for the challenges of the next 5 years.

 

HR policies and procedures

 

The year has seen us update all of our HR policies and procedures to reflect the ongoing needs of the pandemic and our move to a hybrid way of working. We have made extensive use of our HR software BreatheHR to ensure we are a well-run organisation.
